Sledding for the first time!

Yep...took the kids sledding for the first time this year. Took Sprog for the first time ever!

They had a blast. Sprog kept shouting, "Encore" just before dashing up the hill as fast as his little two year old legs could carry him.

The unfortunate thing was the wind was pretty bitter....so it didn't last as long as either of them would have wanted. I also have to pick them up some new sleds because let me tell you...that magic carpet - not the greatest thing!

The Words Kids Use....

So my youngest was playing with his blocks. He was concentrating really hard on them. When I said to him, I was going upstairs and asked if he wanted to come with me, he replied: "No, I PREFER to play with my blocks." Eyeroll. You would never know that he just turned two!

The house is fully decorated now. It's definitely looking like santa will visit. If only I can get to him to go and see Santa now.

The presents are all bought...I just have to now wrap them. Boy I hate wrapping!

Crappy Snow!

We got about 18 inches of snow and yet it's the crappiest snow ever! I took the kids outside to make snowmen....no such luck! We had trouble even packing it to make snowballs!

Have you ever noticed that it takes longer to get the kids ready to go outside then the time we actually spend outside? Sprog at least kept his mitts on today, but the snow kept getting under the rims.....next time I'll have to put the coat liner over the tops.

They were happy to get hot chocolate and are now watching a christmas special!

I Now Have Two Popular Products!

My MIL was right. Those towels were definitely a big hit! Out of the 14 I had yesterday, I sold 12. So now I have to get my ass in gear and get more done up this week. I'm hoping to be in another show next saturday....still waiting to hear back from the organizer. I need to get them done anyway. Then I'll be ready for next year as well!

The kids went to Nanny's yesterday....I guess it seemed to go ok. I forgot to put the roast on and well, we had KD for supper. Tonight I'll make sure there is a nice meal with some of their favourites. I feel like they have been ignored nutritiously lately!

We're off to swim today, maybe a trip to the park. We're also going to finish watching Meltdown. Busy, busy day!

Another Craft Show Today!

I have another craft show today....I can't wait! I am wasting time sitting here, I'm not even dressed yet!

The kids are partially dressed. Daddy is supposedly going to get some things on his list done. I'm hoping that he'll be able to do at least some things on MY list done!

I think I am done most of my christmas shopping, all that's left are stocking stuffers! The Tree will look a little bare this year but next year I am hoping for a better year!

Wish me luck!

Trimming the tree? With a 3 and 2 Year Old?

Yep....tis the season and I am just Cringing at putting the tree up.

My three year old on the other hand - Just can't wait! He's constantly trying to put up more "decorations"! Sigh....I know the day is coming but can't it wait just a couple more weeks??

We have done the front window and this afternoon when sprog sleeps I will let him do the area above the china cabinet. I am trying to space it out but it's just not going over well with sprout!

Hopefully this year the tree will stay up??

How wonders never cease!

It was a good morning. We went to playgroup, all four of us! Daddy came along to see what was going on. We came home to have a nice lunch of left over pizza. Sprog is now nappy and Orin is quite content playing wii.

So I have time to myself! Yep, that's right....I have time to myself!

I have done some ebaying and facebooking and now I am blogging.

Oh and I also got some more christmas towels done! It's been a good day!

Sprout Is Now Fully Swimming!

Yep that's right! He is swimming without any floaties! At the age of three he has mastered keeping his head above water! He is getting stronger and stronger all the time. I am so proud of him!

I still leave the floaties on most of the time because he tends to get away from me. He likes the freedom of doing what he wants!

Sprog of course is also doing well. He actually jumped off the diving board once! He hasn't done it again since....but he is getting so big I'm sure it will be no time at all before he is doing it all the time!

Other than that...nothing new. I am getting ready for my Christmas photo shoots and trying to get the house once again under control!

Camping was only about OK

Yep....camping this weekend was only ok. Nothing spectacular about it. It was a bit on the cool side and though it was great during the day, night time was not so great.

Sprout was also sick. So that kinda put on a damper on things. He seems to be doing better now.

We saw the animals, played at the park. Sprog loved playing in the sand with his bucket and shovel and all his little cars. Sprout was obsessed with the fire.

The Jones ended showing up, that was a little bit of a surprise for us. It was sorta nice to be able to spend a bit of time with them, though we stuck more to our campsite. It was ok having them across the street and not beside us.

Poor Alexis didn't seem to be enjoying her MIL!

I will have to find the pic. Not sure what rob did with them. Sigh.

Sold My First Quilt

Yep...sold my first quilt...so now I have to get my butt and gear and make some more!

I have a show September 26th....we'll see how that goes!

WOOHOO!

We took the car in for repairs...a couple thousand dollars later...I'll get it back...hopefully tomorrow.

Sprout has his last evaluation today...hopefully it goes well and he'll be starting school next week!

Good weather? Getting things done...

Yep that's right...I'm getting things done! I really am....

The weather is looking like it's going to warm up and actually be sunny! I am calling today to book a campsite! woohoo!

The kids are looking forward to camping. I am too. Can't wait for the fun to begin.

Looks like we need to fix an air mattress but that's not the end of the world. We'll see how Rob does at it!

Marshall yesterday said an entire full sentence. "Look Mommy, Can you see it?" So I guess all the worries I had over his speech are not warranted!

The Frustration of Feeling Better, but not too better.

Yep...so I have gained weight with this medical crisis. Of course when all my muscles broke down and I spent four months in bed, followed by this snail crawling pace of not doing well it's definitely not been beneficial. When I hoped on the scale yesterday and saw the increase...I almost cried.

Today I stepped onto the wii, did some wiifit and you should see me. I'm swollen like a balloon and my head is spinning. That spinning is not conducive to standing up right now. Sigh.

Other things on my mind, well....who's fault is it that I got so sick? Is it the Doctor's? Is it my husband's? Maybe the in-laws? I'd step up and claim that it's my fault, but then again I was so sick, I had no idea I was sick.

I keep thinking back to that day when I came back from the doctor's and said I was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration. That I was told I needed rest. After informing both my inlaws and my husband of this....The in-laws said they had to go home and my husband went to work. What did I do? I acted like nothing was wrong because everyone else did.

Less then a week later I was literally comatose. So tell me, who's fault do you think it is?

Thyroid Complications

For the last 8 months, I have been pretty ill.

Let me tell you, No one ever said your thyroid controlled everything and that if it went so would everything else!

I have just recently gotten brain function back. So I able to remember to come down here every day and write in my blog again.

In February, my husband told me I needed to see a doctor and took me to the ER of our local hospital. I had a TSH level of 1600. I was in stage three renal failure, my liver wasn't working properly and my CK level was so high, they didn't want me moving in case I had a heart attack.

Now, I am on .15 eltroxin. I am still suffering from Myopathy and still unable to look after my own children full time. I am getting there...but man this is a slow process.
