Good weather? Getting things done...

Yep that's right...I'm getting things done! I really am....

The weather is looking like it's going to warm up and actually be sunny! I am calling today to book a campsite! woohoo!

The kids are looking forward to camping. I am too. Can't wait for the fun to begin.

Looks like we need to fix an air mattress but that's not the end of the world. We'll see how Rob does at it!


Marshall yesterday said an entire full sentence. "Look Mommy, Can you see it?" So I guess all the worries I had over his speech are not warranted!

The Frustration of Feeling Better, but not too better.

Yep...so I have gained weight with this medical crisis. Of course when all my muscles broke down and I spent four months in bed, followed by this snail crawling pace of not doing well it's definitely not been beneficial. When I hoped on the scale yesterday and saw the increase...I almost cried.

Today I stepped onto the wii, did some wiifit and you should see me. I'm swollen like a balloon and my head is spinning. That spinning is not conducive to standing up right now. Sigh.

Other things on my mind, well....who's fault is it that I got so sick? Is it the Doctor's? Is it my husband's? Maybe the in-laws? I'd step up and claim that it's my fault, but then again I was so sick, I had no idea I was sick.

I keep thinking back to that day when I came back from the doctor's and said I was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration. That I was told I needed rest. After informing both my inlaws and my husband of this....The in-laws said they had to go home and my husband went to work. What did I do? I acted like nothing was wrong because everyone else did.

Less then a week later I was literally comatose. So tell me, who's fault do you think it is?

Thyroid Complications

For the last 8 months, I have been pretty ill.

Let me tell you, No one ever said your thyroid controlled everything and that if it went so would everything else!

I have just recently gotten brain function back. So I able to remember to come down here every day and write in my blog again.

In February, my husband told me I needed to see a doctor and took me to the ER of our local hospital. I had a TSH level of 1600. I was in stage three renal failure, my liver wasn't working properly and my CK level was so high, they didn't want me moving in case I had a heart attack.

Now, I am on .15 eltroxin. I am still suffering from Myopathy and still unable to look after my own children full time. I am getting there...but man this is a slow process.

I'm So Sad.

I found out yesterday that Tante is probably not going to make it till Christmas. I was just talking to Tante Denise on Monday and she said come on down, That Tante wasn't going anywhere soon.

I just want to cry.

My children are getting over their colds. I'm getting over mine too....first time I've felt half decent in a week. Sprog is, unfortunately, cutting molars. Poor Kid. He has 7 front teeth and now has molars coming in. Hopefully there will not be as much screaming as there was last night.


I have to head to bed now. So tired.

The funny things they say

Yesterday at the in-laws, I watched as sprog went down the stairs. As he very carefully walked down, he said "step" at every step. It was just too cute. I can't believe he is already starting to pick up more words every day.

I also watched this morning as he sat in Daddy's Lap. Daddy had breakfast and was eating. Sprog would take a french fry (yeah I know, don't ask) and then dip it into the mayo daddy had on his plate. It was just too cute.


We're pretty sick here. All of us, except Daddy, have colds. I have quite the cough. My chest hurts and I have snotty kids.....yep, nothing worse then snot that is not your own!

I was told yesterday that two of my closest friends are expecting a new little one. I am so happy for them I could just burst!

Now they just need to finish their kitchen and put in a real bathroom!

Sprout had his assessment yesterday. He will be starting in september! Woohoo for us! He apparently did really well but he has a couple things to still work on. They will write up their report and let us know.

Sprog, has been up lots at night. I'm sure he's trying to kill me with tiredness. Is that even possible? Probably!

Pics Of The First Snow Fall!

The kids were up at an unseemly hour, why today instead of yesterday? I have no idea.

But they were just a movin' and a grovin'. Sigh.

I had more pics to share, my children outside in the snow, our first snowfall. This was before halloween, but pictures are cute.

Sprog was really really tired, but you should have seen him asking "what's that?" and pointing at the falling snowflakes. Then he just started to cry. Sigh. So, we were out, maybe a total of ten minutes. Sprout was thrilled to be out there, wasn't happy when I had to make him go back inside.

On the plus side, it's only taken almost fifteen months, but Sprog is now going down for a nap on his own, no holding him! Yay!

Halloween

Halloween is my favourite time of year. I wanted to do up my yard this year but well.... with my back out and the kids still too young, we decided to wait one more year.

We started the day off at Proulx Farm. Lots of fresh air, corn mazes, wagon rides and a haunted house. Sprout loved every second. Sprog, well, he's just more laid back. We left after picking a pumpkin.

The kids were adorable this year, daddy helped pick costumes, they went as Batman and the Penguin. Just too cute.

Sprog sat in the wagon as Sprout went around. He had a blast. He ate some candy and has seemed to promptly forgotten all that he got....a full bag full!

We will dish it out every so often.

I Feel Like I Broke My Back!

So I am out of commission. Yep. I put my back out. Spent nine hours at the ER before they were even able to examine me. They gave me lots of lovely drugs in that time. I took a pretty good trip without leaving the ER. Then when they finally could examine me, i wish I would have said they couldn't.

So I am bed bound. Until Wednesday at least. We'll see how it goes after that.

Sigh....only me. Just before we leave on vacation too. grrr.....looks like there won't be a vacation.

DH is not going to be happy. Sigh.

Sprog's First Birthday!

Yep...Sprog is ONE! I can't believe a whole year has gone by. Don't blink....don't move....try not to forget anything!

His birthday party was a bust. We had planned on having it at a splash park and it turned out that it was stormy and rained most of the day. Just Yuck! It was also cold. So maybe next week. It's not like he's going to know that it was canceled. We did have cake and Sprout blew out the candle. IT was all great fun.

We also got new furniture today. Sigh...so expensive.

Oh...and Sprog also got another tooth today!

My Son is Finally Potty Trained!!

Yep , it's official! Sprout is finally potty trained! He hasn't worn a diaper in a while, but we finally have the whole poop thing down! Woohoo!

One down, one to go...so I am now down to just one box of diapers....the cost of groceries just fell 60 bucks! I think I am happier about that then anything else! I can't get over how expensive baby things are. They are so totally cashing in on that!

In other news....Sprog is teething again....only has four teeth, so the others have to be coming soon. Hopefully before his first birthday!

Plans for that are starting to shape up. I just have to worry about the cake and goody bags. Now I'm off to shop for towels!

Oh The Weather Outsid is Frightful! I've got my shopping done though!

Yep....Christmas shopping that is!

I'm still after a few things. Still need the odd stocking stuffer. But the major things are done! WOOHOO!

You know what this means? I can now throw a huge christmas party! I have time to plan and get things ready....right after my Halloween One!

Yep...sick again?

So...the baby now has four teeth...yep, almost a year old and he only has four teeth....sigh.

Sprout, we think may have asthma, we're hoping for bronchitis. But well, we're just speculating.

Not much happening besides that. Lots of time in the pool. Spending tons of time outside.

Looking forward to the Vankleek Hill Fair.

Dh's temper seems to be doing better. He's walking away more. I'm also trying to give him lots of alone time to do what ever he needs to get done done. Sigh....I hate that temper!

My Son Made The Paper!

Yep....cute ol' Sprout made the Regional, our little town paper. July First he was running around one of the blow up play structures and some one snapped his photo. He really is just adorable.

THey had a a great time that day. He's getting so big, and the things he can now do!

We're back in the Pool!

Yep...Our first day back....

Sprout is getting so big! Jumping in, swimming with out any help at all. It's great to see him back to his full potential. Sprog, well he just kinda hung out with Mama. I had him in a little life jacket. He loves to splash! He also just loves laying back and floating. At that age I could never get Sprout to just lay back and veg. He needed to be up and going! He's still going!


I planted more Spinach Yesterday. I"m hoping that the weather holds long enough for them to sprout. I guess I will have to wait and see. I will plant beans today. The Hail didn't help my beans so I'm going to grow more just in case these ones don't make it!

We're back in the Pool!

My Son Fell Flat On His Face! So Much For Poop In The Potty!

Yep...so Sprout went poop in the potty! I said to him, Good job, you went Poop in the potty! Of course I kept repeating it trying to get him to do it again! Well....then he's running around in a circle, yelling "poop in the potty, good job, good job!"

Next thing I know.....I hear a crash and then of course the screaming starts. Well....the screaming was because he put his teeth through his lip. Did a real good job! We thought we were going to need stitches but we finally got the bleeding to stop.

So much for poop in the potty!

Sprog's First Tooth! Yay!

So after weeks of being able to see it, and two others, we have finally broken our first tooth. He was up most of the night, to the point he woke Sprout a few times! I was so tired the next day. I'm hoping that now the first one is through the rest won't be so bad and they are coming soon. That whole ten month thing, he's a little late.

Other then that my garden is looking lovely. My yard is shaping up. The kids stuff back there is piling up. They got a new playhouse on Saturday. They also got some other toys. I love yard sales! They were meant for parents.

I've been having problems with this blogger

It seems every time that i get on here, something happens and I lose the post or I can't get on or I write something and then walk away and the computer gets taken over by someone else.

So..today is the day I make my 160th post!

The kids are good. Having some trouble with sprog. He has something going on with the nose. Not sure what. Guess we'll have to wait.

The garden is starting to take shape. Can't wait for the end of spring to get my flowers in.

We saw Iron Man the other day. It was pretty good.
